Summer's first litter was born just as the COVID lockdown began. With nothing better or safer to do, Julie watched this litter grow. Their every development was a milestone to be recorded photographically. Sometimes Joe had a little fun turning yellow puppies into black ones like the video clip here. There truly isn't much as joyful as a houseful of black and yellow puppies. There were eleven in this litter - 5 black, 6 yellow. Four males, seven females. Wonder what the next litter will bring.

This female chose Joe one evening. She was in the puppy playroom with another pup and she found a storage drawer that was part way open. She pulled a glove out of the drawer and took it straight to Joe. It happened to be one of his gloves. This girl is light on her feet, focused, driven and quick to learn. We think she will develop into an excellent competition dog. Thank you Baron Rea for her early training.

Yellow Male by Sunny out of Mat Su's Fire Aunt Free Bird - "Bree" These photos are from a double father/son duck hunt in Oregon. Inti belongs to our son Erek. Joe took Sunny to Oregon for this special father/son hunt. Inti is an excellent field dog both waterfowl and upland. We hear he is also learning to find mushrooms. |
